About My Senior Sessions

I want to offer the same spirit of experience I had in my own senior portrait session to every senior I work with. I aim to be that creative person who can get to know you and help tell your story visually. My senior portrait sessions are very laid back, with a calm professionalism.

I am able to match the energy brought to the set on any given day. You want to take action shots of jumping off a bolder with your hair streaming behind you? I'm right with you taking several fast action photo-frames a second. You want a super chill contemplative portrait of looking at a vast body of water? I'm here to capture the mood

For more specifics on how sessions work take a look at my SESSION PACKAGES page or reach out to me via any of the listed ways of contact.

My Photography Experience

University of Wisconsin - River Falls BA, Minneapolis Community and Technical College AA

Photography for most of my life has always been part of my creative process, and as an extension, part of the way I move through the world. For background, I had formal artistic training throughout my high school carrier. I grew my photography skill with a Nikon point and shoot CoolPix L340 to gather my own reference images for my artwork. Also in documenting my Advanced Placement 2D portfolio, I had my first experience using a professional grade DSLR camera. In college I was introduced to film cameras, when I bought and used a Minolta x700 to produce portfolios from exposing film in the field to developing my own film and producing my own prints in a darkroom lab. Working heavily in film taught me to be conservative and make every time I trigger the shutter count. I was involved in my college's digital imaging and photo department where I heavily used my Canon Rebel t6i to create the majority of my most recent photos.

Senior photos are an important right of passage for any high school senior. It is a milestone that should be celebrating the achievement and documented. Much of my own portrait style comes from personal experience as a senior who almost didn't get to have any senior portraits taken, but a very close friend of mine with a DSLR camera offered to take pictures of me one afternoon.
